I applaud your efforts to improve your language skills because speaking English fluently is a really hard task. You are making a good choice just by practicing your English here! I always tell my children that the easiest way to improve your English is to simply read. Read anything at all! It does not matter if it is a children's book or a newspaper. The more you read the English language, the more your brain stores up the way the sentences are put together. As an added bonus, if you read a lot, spelling will eventually become very easy for you without even trying. Good luck to you and don't give up. I am very lucky to have been taught English as my first language because I know it is terribly hard to learn as an adult.

THE FOREMOST THING FOR U TO DO IS THAT DONT FEEL SHY N TRY TO SPEAK IN ENGLISH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE N TO START OFF WITH IT...THE BEST THING IS THAT U SPEAK A BIT SLOW WHICH WILL GIVE TO TIME TO THINK AT THE SAME TIME AND USE SIMPLE WORDS.THIS WILL IMPROVE UR ENGLISH TO A GR8 EXTEND. DO MAKE A HABIT TO BE A GOOD READER AT THE SAME TIME.THIS WILL HELP U GET ACROSS NEW WORDS AND IMPROVE UR GRAMMER. U CAN EVEN LOOKUP IN THE DICTIONARY AND LOOK UP FOR JUST ONE NEW WORD EACH DAY AND MAKE A SENTENCE ON IT SO THAT U MEMORISE WELL. WITH ALL THESE THINGS U CAN SURELY IMPROVE AND DON'T FORGET THAT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD.ALL U NEED TO HAVE IS STRONG DITERMINATION AND CONFIDENCE IN URSELF THAT U CAN DO THE JOB. WISH U ALL THE BEST N HOPE U DO GR8 IN LIFE.

Many have the problem of speaking english fluently .. Here are some useful tips to improve your language. 1 ) Watch a lot of english programs on TV .. This really improves your general awareness and your control and fluency over the language. 2 ) Make it a habit to read some magazines ( like Readers Digest etc. ) or the NEWSPAPER , EVERYDAY Spend 20 mins on reading EVERYDAY... Continuity is a must. This not only makes you aware of the current topics and issues but also helps you improve your language dramatically... Trust me 3 ) Jot down the words that you havent come across when you watch TV or read the literature And make SURE that you refer up the word in the dictionary. Then make a sentence in your own words using that word and write it down in a book for later reference. This way, you wont forget that word ever. Just jotting down the unknown word and it's meaning will not be of great use as you will forget it eventually. SO, I recommend you make up a sentence and write it down. 4 ) Watching english movies does a lot of good Try watching classics Hope this was helpful... Atleast try doing that 20 mins reading everyday .. :)

Hey! That`s a great discussion! My name is Ashley Leigh. I am fairly new to MyLot and have met a lot of nice people already! I was wondering if I could add you to *My Buddies*. That way, when you post new discussions I can reply to them and share my opinions. I hope that`s okay. Please let me know. I can also help you make more money on MyLot. Also, if you have MySpace, I`m on there everyday. Mine is www.myspace.com/skittlez353. MyLot is a really great way to make some extra money. You just have to be devoted. That`s how I see it. I`m a stay-at-home job so I just think of this as my way of making extra diaper money and it helps. I hope I can reply to more of your discussions though, please let me know if I can add you. xO` [ASHLEY]

speak English whenever you can and don't feel bad if you are goofing or if people start asking why. Watching BBC is a good idea but it can get boring after a bit, do a little of that and watch English movies - but make sure you don't pick ones with a lot of slang to start with. listen to the radio for good English programmes spoken by Native english speakers. Listening without the video helps focus more on the language..write now and then - it can be letters, notes, whatever. Read your notes critically and see if you can identify your mistakes/weaknesses or ask someone to help you. Good luck!
