Is there a such thing as to many lights!!!!

In the yard or on the tree, my husband puts so many lights on the tree that you can see it from a mile away, we buy so many lights its crazy, and i have seen some houses that i think are too bright!!

i do feel there is, to many lights sometimes takes away from other decorations, there is a balance when Christmas decorating!
