Do you pay TV Licence in where you live?

In UK we have to pay tax to keep a TV in our houses. I think it is completely rubish. Do you pay tax for watching TV where you live?

No we don't have to pay any tax for Keeping a Television but we pay for our Rent for the channels we are viewing to the cable operator.

IN INDIA; not taxes. that apart 'national channels' are free to air and for others one need to subscribe.Subscription cost varies depending upon the no. of channels one subscribes to.
