The goal of teaching is to open the door to knowledge. I have found that I can not teach my students anything. I can only show them how to learn.

My goal for being a teacher is to teach my students everything they need to learn as a 6th grader, academically, as well as teach them what they should know as 12 year old socially. I put just as much emphasis on character building in my classroom as I do on academics.
