mylot business model and business goals - do you think it's working?

It is funny to see that so many of the discussion topics are about mylot. I guess that when people are paid to create content, it makes sense that many of them will draw a blank on what to talk about other than their common shared experience of being on mylot (how much did you make? how does this work? don't you love/hate postings that are too long/short? etc. etc.). I wonder whether this profit-sharing business model will help them with their overall goal of creating a site full of rich content, or if it will create so many posts that are just full of one-liners by people hoping to make a quick buck. I'm sure that the huge amount of traffic and # of postings and average time spent onsite by a mylot user are statistics that will help them to justify higher advertising prices, and the ability to place targeted advertisements based on discussion tags is a great idea too. I've seen enough discussions about real-life issues that I think the site will succeed, and think that the "profit sharing" model is overall a good idea - they just need to keep working out the kinks and improving their payment algorithm to ensure high-quality discussions. What do other people think?

I think you said it correctly. I could not have said it better. So sorry, no discussion about that. And i think the administrators of mylot invented something which is substainable. That is also good news for the members.
