Of course I love my parents. They are my rock. They would always and forever be there for me, and knowing that makes me feel safe.

Yes, very much so, even though they were abusive to us mentally, emotionally and physically. When I found religion (christianity) I was both healed, and able to forgive. [But I feel more like the parent. They are, because of their health, handicapped now.]
