I want to get a cocker spaniel but I have been told they are a lot of trouble to care for. Is this true?

How could ou not love him - Leroy Brown sleeping
I have a cocker spanial. There are a few things I do have to do to make sure he stays healthy. I clean his ears with this solution fro the vet once a month. This helps so he will not get ear infections. Cockers are prone to that because of their big hanging ears. They do not get aired out and are always warm so it is best to clean them. My cocker is very easy going he lets my cut his hair with the trimmers or even sissors. He also lets me trim his toenails. If you learn to do these things yourself it is not a big deal and you only have to do it every couple months. My cocker has skin allergies so I give him a bath once every two weeks with a medicated shampoo. That am food, walks, and water is all I have to do really. Their is a yearly vet visit and on ocassion he may get sick but luckily he is a very healthy dog. I would defintly recommend getting one.
