What can you do to help the poor and help restore the environment

For me, I am thinking of organizing a group with like minded persons and brainstorming with them how this could be done and in a more innovative ways as what is being done today. You friend what do you think ?

"I do not give them fish but I will teach them how to catch fish", that I think I can help poor people. As to help restore the environment to inculcate to the people to love the environment. We can make this world a better place for all of us, this is what I believe.
