I have seen many cases where ppl are unemployed and are not able to find a job. Lets help them. I have few tips which I combined together and would like to share with others. Post if you have any fro YOUR OWN experiences. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Relax and don't be frustrated or desperate. coz if you are not confident, you will lose the opportunity anyway. So why get frustrated - I have seen cases where ppl make a generic resume for all kind of jobs and keep sending the same for everything. Which is not correct. Make different resumes for diff positions. Don’t make Accountant + operations executive. Showing your accounts experience for the position of operations or sales position will be of no good. - Target the companies. And try to imagine which job will be suitable for you in that company and try to apply for the right job. - Try and get hold of the right person in department you are applying for. i.e. HR or head of the dept you want to apply in. Don’t let your resume stay with receptionist and then go to the recycle later. Trust me it happens. - Follow up after applying for a job. Don’t just keep quiet after you have applied. Wait for the response for 1 week and then give a follow-up call. It makes them feel that you are serious about working there. - Know about the company well before you go there. Try and get an idea about the interviewer. What kind of person would that be and how to deal with him/her - Don’t get disappointed if you screwed up the interview. Learn from your mistake and don’t repeat. Try to understand where you went wrong and be prepared for that situation next time. - BE CONFIDENT. Make the employer feel comfortable in you by showing your confidence. - Know your market value. If you demand too low you may get rejected. I have seen cases where many ppl got rejected coz they were demanding less. It makes employer think that you are not really good for this position
