Root of evil

I believe that many of you have heard of "Money is the root of all evils". How true is it exactly? am not exactly sure, but i believe that it should be "Wanting more money is the root of more evil". Why would money be the root of all evils when it could buy you food to fill your empty stomach, save your life when you need it for medical expenses. Wanting more money should be the root of all evils because it's because of the wants that the person has that makes the person go about stealing or robbing. thus it should be the want that is the root of all evils. Do you agree?

Actually I think the quote is "The love a money is the root of all evil". I believe it is because I think alot of people think money can make them happy. Everyone wants and alot of us need more money but it won't solve all our problems.

it may be true to some extend that money can make people happy... you can buy yourself things to keep yourself happy, you can treat your friends to a movie or ktv to keep you entertained. however, in search of the "happiness", many of us are actually unhappy because they can't find what they wanted. =)
