Thank you Oprah - Upromise is wonderful! Oprah: "Enroll your child/baby in FREE upromise for college" After that oprah episode, I joined the free service upromise program back when i had hailey and it is defenitely paying off. everytime you use your registered card to make a purchase, it gives you cash in a special account for your child's future college tuition. I love it and highly recommend it. Here's the details from their site: Upromises mission is to help families realize the dream of college. The Upromise Services division includes our popular Rewards Service, which allows families to automatically save money for college while making everyday purchases at more than 20,000 grocery and drug stores, 14,000 gas stations, 8,000 restaurants, thousands of retail stores and more than 350 online shopping sites. Upromises partners include Citi, Coca-Cola, ExxonMobil Corporation, Kimberly-Clark, McDonalds, JCPenney.com, LandsEnd.com, Sears.com, and hundreds of others. More than seven million parents, grandparents, and family friends have joined Upromise and our partner contributions today represent the largest private source of college aid in America. Upromise also makes it easy for families to invest in tax-advantaged college savings plans and to use contribution to pay off student loans. The 529 college savings plans are offered through Upromise Investments, Inc (member NASD/SIPC). http://www.upromise.com/vishompg?ss=0&ax=cj|1961167&cm_ven=CJ&cm_pla=1961167&cm_ite=6-12-06+Upromise+Easy+Way+to+Save&cm_cat=1753547

I have been with Upromise for a long time. My problem is that I don't shop at the major chain grocery stores often, and when I do I don't buy the "Upromise" items. We also don't eat at the resturaunts with rebates often either (or anything else you would get points for with your credit card). In about 2 years with them I have saved up $10. LOL

Thats a great program. I applied for it at Publix. Well, I just asked about the Upromise cards at the cash register and she gave me the Publix one. Great way to save for kids college.
