what do you feel is the right age for children to know about birds and bees? It is an eternal baffling topic for parents and how and when should it be confronted?

it should be started from 3 grade. because this is age where a child can grasp the knowledge easily.

My parents never had "the talk" with me and that was a big mistake since I reached puberty at 9. So I plan to explain it to my kids at around 8 years old.

It can be at normal age when they start understanding normal things.

I started my journey to women hood at the age of eight-nine, thankfully I knew about it when I was six-seven as my mother explained it to me, and bought several books on it. Although there was no one else my age who had started, it was embarrassing when I had to skip swimming once every month, and the teacher knew about it, even though no one else knew. Can you imagine how scary it would have been if I hadn’t of known and it had started? The earlier the better I say! I think girls should be taught first, as they’ll be the first to experience and boys can be afforded the time to wait until 10-11, which is what the age was when I first came across it in schools.

Well i n school they start in 6th grade. I think an open idea could be told to the child at any age.
