what is your opinion about indian astrology ?

In my opinion,Indian Astrology,of yore,acted as what Psychiatry or Psychology is to day.The practitioners may or may not have known it.They offered mental peace to sufferers,and answered certain question of theirs(sufferers,especially those who suffered for no known reason,like,say,some disease).This is a bit similar to,"Placebos",in modern medicine(the offerings in temples to Gods,pilgrimages etc). But as time went on people began to look on it cynically,as uneducated people began to make use of it as a profession,for livelihood.
