Do you think Iran should make nuclear weapons?

Think about it. The USA has all the leverage. The only other superpower was the USSR. China doesn't have nearly as much fire power. What if the USA got a dictator in? Who would be able to stop them taking over the world?

In a better world no country should should have them ( Einstein and Oppenheimer were war criminals) The US is the only country to have developed WMD and used them against a civilian population. In Korea MacArthur wanted to nuke the Chinese but wasn't allowed to.Russia and China developed their programs as a defense against possible US aggresion. Neither the US or China have aspirations towards global military domination(Russia isn't in the race now). But these countries do seek predominance through economic channels and not on the battlefield. On the battlefield they both choose to support smaller countries with 'aid packages'to exploit left and right wing factions at war with each other. Iran would be crazy not to develop nukes but on the other hand risks incurring the wrath of the US if it does.Even if it does it would not be possible for it to stockpile a significant enough arsenal to defend itself adequately against the US. So the bottom line is that it would be better for them to leave the nukes alone and concentrate on the development of nuclear power only.Which is what they say they are doing -- they should be left alone to do their own thing, after all they're not likely to try for world domination either, so -- where's the threat?

I think the Latin phrase is still relevan: Si vis pacem, para bellum! (= if you want peace, prepare war!)Do you agree?
