Has it pulled loose maybe you had something heavy on it? My husband said that a wood filler would work but try to get it a matching color for it to be less noticable. Hope that helps.

Yeah that is a pain in the butt. We have the wood laminate flooring throughout the kitchen & dinning room and I love that stuff cuz it's indestructable but I noticed there's a tiny gap between the flooring and the floorboards. I was thinking of filling it with clear caulk, do you think that would work ok?

Thanks for the good idea! No, it wasn't pulled lose, whoever put the flooring in, didn't fit it all the way to the wall. It's barely noticable but it bothers me.

No, but need to lol. We moved into our house in April. The house was built in I think 1917 or 1920. I think the back part is an addition put on at some time, and I think they did some remodeling around 1997. The remodel work they did was crap though. Cosmetically, looks really nice, but then you start looking and finding they cut a lot of corners. And the roof!! Has a tin roof(it's a log cabin style house kinda)but they put it right over the old roof. Which would've been ok, if the roof underneath wasn't rotting lol. So, we're going to eventually have to replace all the truss underneath in the attic, want to shore the flooring a bit as well. We had all the info from the inspection beforehand, and it passed ok, but just for our peace of mind. Eventually I'd like to make a few bedrooms upstairs in the unused part of the attic, maybe a big loft with a spiral staircase going into the family room. Lots of expensive stuff:)
Good luck with your improvements and have fun lol:)

I can understand how he wouldn't want to work at home on the weekend if he's working on other people's houses all week. That's alot of work to be done though and the satisfaction of completing it is worth doing it in my opinion. Those are also expensive projects! The project I am working on now is turning my 4 year old's bedroom into a "princess room".....I'm open for suggestions if anyone has any!

Wow, that does sound like alot of work! I love the older homes. Making bedrooms out of attic space sounds neat, I bet the kids would love it, if you have kids.
