Ok heres the story.. My son is 10 months old and he loves dogs. He has no play mates because we live so far away from everyone we know and its hard to get to know people around here. So i think he is a little lonely, so what better than a dog... The only problem is that i am pregnant and will have a baby next year, I am afraid that i will have a hard time keeping up with all of this, especially a new dog in the house. My husband is not good at keeping pets, he is quite irresponsible but may be improving a little. I am afraid that it is all going to fall into my lap and i dont know if i will be able to handle it. We would love to have a dog. we want one really bad though. Another thing is we live in appartments and they dont have much room to run and the local park does not allow dogs or pets. So i would have to walk the dog as well and the child that is just learning to walk.. HMmmmm. .. I may be paranoid but i feel like i would be signing myself up for trouble. Please share your thoughts

You should wait to get the dog. I know it is tempting. Dogs are great. But you said it best, you would be signing yourself up for trouble. You would have to take care of 2 little ones and a dog too. Wait to get the dog when the kids are older and they can walk the dog with you and help take care of it too.

hy! you can buy him a dog.the dog hair is not a problem for your baby.i am telling you this becouse i know.the animals who are very dengerous for the pragnet womans are the perouts and the cats.the cats are the most, but the most dengerous animals for the pregnant womans.the god are not dengerous at all,but of course you should have to take care about not eating dog hair,or not playing whit him to much. but bellive me its ok to have a dog.its no danger.ask your doctor

Sounds like you're going to have your hands full. You might want to wait until your son is old enough to help you out with the dog, that way you won't have to jugle him and the dog.

i think you can try to adopt it... maybe your husband will be more responsible... anyway a pet is always a good mate... dogs and little kids are good friends and dogs have a particular sensibilty with children... they consider them like their pets, females in particular...

Never adopt a pet if you are unsure of the level of care it will be given. Many innocent animals wind up in shelters because of well-meaning situations such as this.
