What on here gets you to respond to a discussion? The topic, by a friend, etc?

Hi everyone, how do you all decide which discussions to respond to, is it based on the subject of the topic? How easy it is to respond to? If it's created by a friend on here? If it's near the top of the screen for new discussion or most popular? Will be interesting to see how people decide. I try to respond to friends discussions each day when I have time, also respond to new discussions if they are on the first page of new discussions. I sort of ignore the hot discussions sometimes unless it's something that really gets my interest, because I feel sorry for people that have discussions with very few responses.

I actually almost only respond to the "new discussions", i have no real friends in here, and i don't look at what my friends in here post! So thats not how i choose witch discussions i respond to! Most of the time, i just go ti "new discussions" and reply to the first topic where i have something to say!

Well, do your friends respond to your topics at times? If so you should at least browse their topics and if something is interesting respond to it.

I've done a bit of all.. First I respond to what people wrote on my discussions... Then I go to new discussions and search through until I find a good on to reply to. I always like to check the ones I have responded to as well to see if the author wrote back! I rarely write on the days popular content, because most of those subjects have already been saturated with my opinion in one way or another... If people give me a good response sometimes I'll look through their discussions to find one that I'm interested in... I base most of my responses on interest though!

Yeah, I understand, sort of feel the same way about the "hot topics" as you do.

my priority will be always to respond to my discussions first, and then i will go to 'discussions with 0 response' ...at times, i may be searching too long and yet i cant find any good discussions, so i will go to my friend's individual profile to 'dig' back their old discussions.

yeah I do make sure I respond back to those that comment on mine first, then will check friends discussions, I feel sorry for good discussions with no responses so will respond to them too.

I look at the hot discussions to see if any of them are interesting. I tend to like discussions that require some thought... not a one word answer. I also check the new topics or topics with no answers because some of those are really good thought out topics and they have no response because of all the other BS posts that are so numerous.

Again, another one based on just how they pay? See I'm afraid if people keep doing that then eventually mylot will stop paying. Treat it as just a bonus for responding to items that interest you (not based on how much they pay) and I think that is really the honest thing to do.
