my friend is living aimlessly.what should i do?

this is abt my friend.he is very talented, but does not take life,carrier seriously.his parents are also worried about him.he just dont study,but clears the exam by studying on the last day. he spends lot of time on internet.he is getting addicted to it.overall he is very good,his behavior is also good but i dont understand how to make him carrier oriented. his parents r hardworking people,but he is very lazy,loves to sleeep and a big day dreamer.he lives aimless life. plz help me getting my friend into the real world of competition where ppl r carrier,goal oriented.

unfortunately you can't force someone to change, you can try to lead by example or once in awhile ask why he chooses to do something if you think it's wrong, but don't nag them either or he won't be your friend for long.
