I have a grandaughter who is twelve. She has a place on myspace and so do her friends. I was there one day while she was on and could not believe some of the things that went on. Now it is my understanding that you are supposed to be 18 and older to have a place on myspace. Some of the content is not very good for an 11 or 12 year old. Am I being too old fashioned about this. Do you think that it is alright

Notes came home from my daughter's elementary school counselors to all parents earlier this year warning about the inappropriateness and dangers of myspace for elementary age children. While I haven't personally spent much time on there I don't think I would feel comfortable with allowing an 11 or 12 year old on there either. Just my opinion.
