I have never had green bean casserole and it looks kind of gross. BUT my husband insists that I make it. What do I serve with it?

You don't know what you're missing!!
The Green Bean Casserole is almost the best part of Thanksgiving Dinner in our family.
Serve it as a vegetable side dish with any meat or poultry dinner. Leftovers are easily reheated and taste great.

Its actually pretty good. I would think it would go with most anything. We only usually make it for special dinners but its okay for everyday meals. Just think of it as just a vegtable. Here is the recipe I use. You can also use cream of cheddar soup too. its good that way.
INGREDIENTS
1 (14.5 ounce) can French style green beans, drained
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onions
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine green beans and soup in a small casserole dish.
Bake in a 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and top with the onions. Bake for another 10 minutes and serve.

You know, that doesn't sound so bad actually. Especially with the cheddar soup. I love that stuff. As for the special dinners, he is wanting it for Christmas. I may do a ham or something.

It doesn't look great but it's tasty. We'd always have it with Thanksgiving dinner.
