How do you promote your blog?

I haven't really used a website to promote mine, I just tell all of my friends, and i'm going to post flyers around town and what not. It might be a lot of work and see no results, but living in a college town, I think some college kids would be interested in my blog. It's random and about what 6 college kids are up to.

well yes i have a blog http://creativeprogs.blogspot.com/ in which i am planning to post tutorials on different topics most of them realted to design softwares like photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, maya and max. this is something i like to do and so i am plannign to first get set with quite a few good tutorials and then i will post them on my blog and then approac other tutorial sites with these tutorials. but yes i will kep this site in mind that you have told. and lets hope it will help me too.

This is an old discussion, however I think it something I have not seen, however since it is on 2.0 I hope it would help me with my promotion of my blog. Lets hope it would help bring me more traffic to my site.

I usually submit into major search engine, blog directory, use my blog url as my signature on forum or email. And of course telling my friends about my blog

I will have to try that.
