can anyone help me? my daughter is 27 and this weekend she just told me that she was sexualy abused by my ex partners brother when she was 11 years old. my ex partner lives local and his brother not to far away can anything be done now after 16 years or will she just have to live with the fact that he threatened her that if she ever said any thing to anyone she would die. she is still very afraid that he will come after her. any advice for me and her on what to do? i hate the fact that she didnt tell me at the time but I can understand but whats doing my head in is hes out there getting on with his life and away with what he done, is it to late? bev

Why don't you bring your daughter to a psychologist or therapist for consultation about trauma. Try also to seek help or advice to a lawyer on how to go after the perpetrator and have him behind bars, it will be a very long process specially the therapy but it would be better for your daughter. Also the legal aspect of it so be strong and i will be including you in prayers. greetings. : )
