Dowry system!!!!!!...

I don't really know much about the system in India, but I have heard other cultures doing things like that.

I dont think dowery system is good. ist can lead to various problems

I am not aware of the "dowry" system ...... what's that?

In marriage,actually we r giving our girl...so we dont want to give money...If it is is indeed one money transfer,then...that guy should give money....

Dowry system is a black mark in India. Govt should punish the groom family who ask for dowry. It should be totally abolished from cities to village

The dowry system in ancient India was not like the existing one. Earlier, the groom had to give some gift or money in terms of gold to the father of the bride to marry the girl. Now, the father of the girl has to offer dowry to the groom. The scenario changed in reverse! If the ancient system makes problem to the groom and the existing one is for bride. Anyway, there is no different opinion in the dowry practises which are evil to the society.
