DO THE NEWSPAPERS AND MEDIAS ARE DOING SERVICE OR DISSERVICE TO THE READERS?

Indian newspers and medias are giving prominence to cricket. Most of the papers are carrying cricket news in the first page. Even gossip of cricket stars,film stars and politicians offspring are appearing in the front page and that too in the right hand side of each newspaper leaving aside all other important news to the inner side of these papers. Do you think is this a healthy trend and justifiable? Are they doing service or diservice to the readers?
