Absolutely not. Unless the house is an absolute disaster which he doesn't like to look at. But it doesn't sound like that is the case! You do what works for YOU!

i don't think your stupid because some people like to do there own housework, but i would never turn down help that my husband offered me just think if u take the maid that leaves you some time to look extra sexy for your man when he comes home you can show him how much u appreciate your maid lol

I just remembered something related to the topics of maids that you all might find interesting. Did you know you can make $25 an hour doing this? At least you can in the Kansas City area. That just blew my mind!! To have someone come out and clean your home you should be prepared to pay a good $100. Another reason to do it yourself! If you need a job, not a bad one to look into and you can work for yourself.

I am sure your husband meant well. So what's ur reason for not wanting the maid?

I personally would have taken the offer. But to each his own. If I lived in a 2 bedroom apt. I might just have the maid come once every 2 weeks or once a month to do deep cleaning. Like ceiling fans, baseboards, the stuff that I hate to do. I wish my husband would offer me a maid.

No not if you don't want to spend the money that way. If he wants to use money to make your life easier I'd suggested taking what you would have spent on a maid and saving it for something you really do want. vacation? date nights? spa day?

If you can do all the cleaning and keep it up, and you think you dont need a maid, than I think that very good. You are not stupid. It nice that your husband offer to get you a maid.

Not at all. If you need help, then I'd take it, but if you want to do the housework then do it yourself. Personally unless I were incapacitated for some reason, I can't imagine having someone else clean for me. It would make me uncomfortable. I see housework as exercise and it does help keep me in better shape. I like knowing where everything is and I think housework keeps me out of trouble!

Actually yes! On the other hand you have yourself at ease because he will never have an affair with the maid.

I think I would feel weird if I had a maid coming to my house. I would still feel like I had to clean before she came just because I wouldn't want her to think we were slobs.

No, not really at all. If it’s something you can do yourself easily and are happy to do, plus not a massive house then why would you need one? Your husband was probably just trying to make life easier for you, although he could always offer to do it himself instead!

Who wants a stranger running around the house!? My hubby spoke about a maid too when I asked him to help out a bit. They don't come cheap, why waste that money?
