What do you think of sleeping vulcans? Is there any chance to errupt again?

I was in Santorini in Greece and saw the vulcan there. But I was kind of frightened, I felt that it can errupt every minute! It was a strange feeling to walk there. I know that with modern instruments you can forecast their erruption, but even then ...
