What would you like to major in?

I am currently looking to earn my PhD in genectics with a minor in nanotechnology. What is something that you would like to major in and why? I am hoping that with my major, I will be able to help contribute to the eradication of diseases and possibly even death. (Yes, I am a dreamer!)

well i havent planned for majors but if atall i need to plan then my subject would be computer science or information technology

Computer science and IT are definitely good choices. What about these fields makes you consider majoring in them? Does the fact that you are in India influence your decision in this matter? I know that the IT industry is really booming there now.

I am plannin to do Major in Biotechnology.its an upcoming field and has lot of scope.biotechnology is the future of modern science.

I agree with you on this point. The future of medicine is going to be in biotechnology - one reason I am planning on minoring in nanotech!
