A Versatile Staple Food.

Rice, as an unique and versatile staple food is very popular in South / South-East Asian Countries. Its various types of preparations are traditionally very old and deep rooted in the socio-cultural life of Asia. All must agree with its simple digestion and easy preparation. A spoon or more of rice in daily lunch works as the base of common man's prime food, alongwith other pulses, vegetables or non-vegetarian preparations on choice. Rice has no equal substitution. Though it is regulated for diabetics, its calorie value can not be ignored. Different common or special preparations of rice is made and used by many, all around the world throughout the year in special occassions. Rice serving system to God in famous temples and taking as Prasad also dates back to many centuries in South Asian Countries and certain places of the globe. It is certain that From men to mice ,a versatile food is rice.In our country rice has a important role for us as our main food item.
