Because there is no need for a monkey to evolve into a human. We've already evolved beyond that point - humans exist. We already evolved, way back when. And we're still evolving. Natural lifespan is extending, average hieght per generation is mounting, etc etc.
Evolution in higher developed mammals is a very slow process over generations. Wild primates have evolved to adapt to their particular climates and regions, and are still evolving even as we speak. But both humans and wild primates are evolving along different lines.
The most recent and clear sign of evolution is in the coyotes at Yellowstone National Park. Coyotes have been, by nature, solitary creatures. They are not pack animals because they've never needed to be. But with the introduction of wolves into their territory, coyotes have been forced to evolve to adapt to this change. They're evolving into pack animals, and each new generation is larger and more physically imposing than the last to deal with this new threat. Evolution at work.
God created many mysteries when He created the world. And science is the tool He gave us to solve those mysteries.

I don't believe in evolution, and that's one of the reasons. Not only with monkeys. Why aren't we and other animals still evolving. I can't believe I was came from a monkey or any other animal no matter what. I believe I was created by God.
