unlocking dvd in region 2 to accept region 1 discs

Hi - Received a belated birthday gift of dvds from the USA but my machine (region 2) is rejecting them. Can anyone please assist with unlocking code?

The best way is to get back to where you bought your DVD player and ask them to have it converted to play multiregion DVD's.
