Good discussion you have started. In this way more people will know our Father of nation. Though he need not any identification. Whole world know him. Yes I respect him very much. He is the man who has given us freedom. Because of him only we are independent today otherwise it was not possible. During his presence, the people were fighting each other. There was difference of opinions. He was the only man in India at that time, to whom the people used to favour, listen him and follow his advices. Even those who believed on violance, they had to stop their activities only because of Mahatmaji. They did not dare to neglect Mahatmaji's advices. He was great, he is great and will be great for ever. Thanks once again for starting so nice discussion, as you are!!!

i love that person as a leader of a poor devastated country like india at that point of time which we ,perhaps , can never imagine..so the rightuousness and the sacrifice made by the then leaders could not be understood in todays scenario.. i respect him not because he is called as the father of the nation but he is the one of the greatest visionary leader which that century may have seen...

Of course, I like Gandhi. Anyone who believes that violence does not always resolve conflicts is a good person, and the world will be a much better place with good people.

I greatly respect Gandhi for his bravery and his love for freedom and for his country. He devoted his whole life to making the world a better place for all of us. I also admire one of the people who was an influence on him, Henry David Thoreau. He too believed strongly in the rights of individuals, although he did not have the opportunity to sacrifice as much for his beliefs as did Gandhi. He would have, though, if the occasion had arisen. That is not quite the same, but some people are not as good as acting as they are at thinking. Gandhi could do both!

Hi, I do respect as Gandhiji has done this much that many others could not do not only that with a positive outlook. Still there are always defects in every person like that Gandhiji too had I hope so. Still at least this much has done for well of being of a Nation. More over I do respect Bhagat Singh and Chandra Bose more than Gandhiji.

Unfortunately ,current generation is not that much aware of the Father of the Nation .So his philosophy should be propagated in work life,Home life ,Personal Life and Public life

i like and respect all the freedom fighters who had a impressions on nation .but in my personal view i am not preffers the gandhi's way of peace for independent country .this is best for independent country where you could manage all the things peacefully.but when you are in problem or you captured by others anyone should not expect "gandhigiri".

I have always considered Gandhi the greatest man of the twentieth century, indeed maybe for many centuries. He was a man of peace, and also believed that we are all one. If we had leaders like him today, this world would be a better place.
