I found a really nice locket necklace for my mom at the mall they range from 20-120. I bought my moms in silver so it was like 40 bucks. It says I love you... Its very pretty. Thats an suggestion :).

I don't know what your mom is interested in, but what about a day at the spa. Some jewlery might also be a nice thought.

I bet she would love a professional picture of you.. do you have a family of your own or siblings? If you gave her a nice picture with a pretty frame I bet she would love it! Moms like sentimental things like that. :)

That's a wonderful thought. I often get pics of my family given to me at Christmas and they're always so nice to have.

well in all honesty I was struggling with that myself and the only thing I can say is to get her like a mother ring, or mother necklace, go to limoges.com it is a silver and gold shop and they will put in some crystals so you can get her a mothers ring with her kids birthstones in them, or even in a pendant, I got this for my mom and for my husbands' mom because this will be one of the last christmas we will have in the same state as them so I want it to be meaningful for both of them.

mug w/favorite tea or coffee; or maybe something that she's never tried, but wouldn't spend the money on herself. a subscription to a magazine that you think she would like a gift certificate from a housecleaning service to give her a break from cleaning when she decides to use it a date with her son for dinner and a movie

An elaborate gift basket is always fun to get. There are numerous items so the gift lasts a long time. Each time the individual uses something from the basket, they will think of you. You can make it in the way of a theme (bath, coffees, picnic foods,breakfast/muffins with recipes, aromatherapy, christmas). You could even make it yourself. Gathering the items would be fun and there are so many nifty colored cellophane paper and bows at your local stores.

gift - gift
I think you can give her what she likes, since you've said she is religious person, if she's catholic you may give her a prayer book, bible or a rosary. Or you may give her what she likes which she still doesn't have it until now. or you may cook her, her favorite food or gift certificates where she has freedom to choose what she wants.

Find out what she would like to do the most or something she has always been talking about wanting and get her a few Gift Certificates and maybe a couple of items that you picked out...

How about a nice, natural glass vase, and fill it with some Christmassy stems, like red flowers (roses or something and white Christmas roses) together with steams of holly and laurel. It will bring nature into the house for Christmas. Other than that, what about pictures depicting nature on some level, or a bowl with floating scented candles and pebbles in the bottom. You can also buy glass containers with pebbles in the bottom and a candle to push into the pebbles. These are nice. There's a lot of stuff pertaining to nature out there, at all sorts of different prices.

Can you draw. My grandchild is always asking what I would like as a gift for Christmas or birthdays. Knowing she has no pocket money, I alway ask her to make a card for me. She always writes "To the best Nanny in the world" and this to me is worth more than any expensive gift. I save all the cards and it give me great joy to look at them from time to time. Maybe you could do somethin like this for your mum. Happy Christmas to you and your mum.

I think it is sweet that you want to give your mom a gift. I don't know what her religious preference is but if she is a Christian you can get her a book. My suggestion is a book by Beth Moore called A Woman and Her God...or a cd A Piece of My Passion by Juanita Bynum (best buy has is on sale!!) ...If you are really on a tight budget go to the dollar store and buy a really pretty picture frame, write her a poem or a letter about how you feel about her on a niece piece of blank paper with no lines and frame it. DO NOT GET HER....anything for the house for ex: a coffee pot, microwave, oven mittens, or towel. That is just cheesy and women hate that. God bless you and good luck!!

Lookaround the house and see what kinds of things or decorations she has maybe get some ideas from there. But I ususually get my parents gift cards so they can get something they have been wanting... or she might like a day spa packagage to relax and feel good.
