What is mean "foo-bar”?

Hi, I love this movie so much and know real picture of war from this movie,like it's happen yesterday. One of the dialogue I want to quote is when Opham the corporal (sight)asking this word "foo-bar"? Nobody reply in that scene what is that mean. I want to know what is "foo-bar"? Please help (cool)

Hi.. Oh I see..back to the scene,The captain didn't want anybody in his squad recognise him ,salute or something to show respect to prevent sniper..?Is that true?correct me if I'm wrong.

If snipers are watching, and they can tell who is in command (by the salutings) then they will shoot that person first. So you never salute in a war zone.

Hi, this movie is the best of the best! I don't really know what "FUBAR" stay for, maybe in the Italian traslation it loses.
