Have you ever had any experience with bushfires, how did they impact on your life? I live in Victoria Australia and there is quite a major bushfire underway at the moment. I went to visit my soon to be parents in law today, and had to drive through thick smog (they live about an hour out of the city in the country) to get there. It made it all seem very real, and it was quite scary actually. Do people from other cultures deal with the threat of bushfires? Or are other natural disasters such as tsunamis, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes more of a concern in your region of the world?

Protect the nature - Protect the nature
Simply the nature in the snake, as Izaac Newton's law is said, for each action a reaction exists, if we make the nature badly they will do us badly, the nature is not revengeful she is fair.

I live in Victoria too. I live about 40 minutes out of the city and since friday there's been a thick covering of smoke that stinks of burning wood. We've had the streetlamps on all day. It's so surreal. I'm just lucky I don't live too far out in the country...
