Share Ur Tsunami Experience

well i was not present in anyone of the countries where the Tsunami hit,i was in Pakistan and when i saw the breaking news on bbc "Tsunami Hit Asia"my first thought was What is a Tsunami,I mean there must be a thosuands of ppl who got to know the meaning of Tsunami that day,And when news started coming that 20meters high waves India in the middle of the day,I was like there must be some kind of a misunderstanding how come 20 meters high waves hit with out a hurricane or typoon. That Day millions of ppl died and may their souls rest in peace.So what were ur thoughts of the experience ??it wud gr8 to see if a survivor post his story here

I'm like you- when the news hit, I didn't even know what a Tsunami was. I couldn't believe that destruction. There are some really good informative sites on the Internet. I like: http://www.waveofdestruction.org/This site has some awesome photos, links to relief funds, stories of survivors, and information about Tsunami.

now you are more worried about it and what to do. I think earthquakes can be even worse with them causing these waves

Perhaps that was the only good thing that came out of that disaster- people are more aware of the dangers and will be more inclined to listen to and respond to early warnings.

I have survived hurricanes which are the same but in the atlantic I had mostly flooding problems and had to continue to watch out for water problems
