It is US, the people, that get what we deserve and vote for. Depending on the level of development of a country, the level of their government will reflect. I have lived and worked in many different countries and I cn tell you that a lot has to do with how you approach them the first time. Now I am not going to write a story here telling you waht and how, but trust me when I say that it is not always money that gets government officials motivated to work.

I a gree with you. Money isn't an issue with government employees. I won't name the agency here. Most of the folks are over 40yrs and being with the state for over 20yrs. I walked in the door with fresh, modern, logical ideas of best practices, very unfortunately, I became a victim of social unfit. The team looked at me different and nobody like a word comes out of my mouth. I am not in management and I am just a low level employee. I am still with the same employer as of today. These people are lazy, mostly unqualified for what they do, unprofessional. This is a typical everyday life when they come to work; too much time to sit around gassip do nothing, freqent smoking breaks, late lunches, and complaing about minor stupid things. These don't like change, they have being doing this for 20yrs and they aren't accepting change of any nature. Not to mention the employer tolerate this behavior by giving promotion internally, instead of recruiting fresh canditades who can bring change to the agency. I feel bad for the tax payers

I totally agree with you. You go to any govt office, it is always money that works. All those people will be just going for pan etc., but never work

BS even I have seen a lot of government employees very very lethargic about their work. I think the main Fonda behind their lazy world is that they know that even if they don't work they will get their required salary and that is the reason why they do not want to work. If something can be done to this and made them realise that if they do not work they will not get the salary and if their work are made by a chilling targets the writing it will be a good option was then we can find these people running around doing their work properly this is very important because they occupy very important positions and if we face problem in those parts than they can create a lot of trouble the growth of the country depends on how could the people work how hard-working the people are and if people show such the tragical attitude than I am sorry to say that our country in which we are living is in dire straits.

I worked for the State of Texas for over 25 years. There were no lazy people in the offices I worked in. For less than what people made in the privete sector (but some nice benifts) we worked very hard. I'm not saying that some governments there are not lazy people hired by family (nepotism) and barely doing anything, but I have never seen it.
