It's not illegal to download or upload, it's actually using what you downloaded that's illegal...torrent files are my best friends...last time I paid for software was back at the beginning of last year when I bought the Sims Complete Edition. WWE PPV's are a thing of the past...why pay 40 bucks for one when I can download and watch it in it's entirety just a couple hours after it airs?. I can archive all my favorite TV shows like Mythbusters on DVD...I love it, and as long as you are careful, you'll never get caught...just remain as anonymous as possible...

For me file sharing isn't illegal unless you get any kind of profit selling what you download. Otherwise I think its fine because if it was not to download our ISPs would not give us some amount of traffic (or even unlimited) to spend downloading every month. Plus, if everybody had to go buy their favorite series, movies, games, etc. at the price they are nobody would buy them... that is the most important reason why I think there's so many file-sharing systems nowadays and so many people using them.
