What Would you Do If you Were Beaten While Walking Down the Street??

This actually happened to me in another city, I was shopping on a busy rainy Saturday afternoon and a street bum came up to me and started beating me with an umbrella ... what would you do if this happened to you?? I called a friend and went to the police, but interested in what other ppl would do.

I would grab his umbrella from him and start beating him back. Then I would go to the police.

Unfortunately I was stunned when this happened and by the time I realized he had done it he had run away ... but thank you for responding

I will first defend my self then I will go and lodge a complaint against that guy who act so rudely..............................

umbrella - umbrella
Fight or flight! It depends on the person beating me...do I think I can take the person? If so, and I do not believe he/she has anything more than the umbrella, I would probably fight back. But I guess that would also depend on the umbrella...cause I am sure some of those things can be very danergous too. Tough question. I guess I really won't know until I was put in that situation...it would also depend on if my kids were with me. I would not want to endanger them at all!
