Should he change to christian?

One of my best friend which is a buddist and his girlfriend is a christian. His girlfriend insisted that her husband must be a chistian as well. Is it a couple must have the same religion? What should my friend do as his family will never let him to become a christian. He just call me and ask for my advice. Should him break with her girlfriend or ...... Can anybody help me?

this is very subjective..i'm a catholic and my bf is not, and though i hope that he could be converted too, but i also understand that you cannot force someone to believe in a religion. maybe you should ask your friend to have a good talk with his gf...if the gf really insisted that he have to be baptised to be together (and he couldnt!) then it's better to go on separate way now
