My Poetry

I have been writing for years. Not just poetry. My poems usually reflect my feelings at the moment. If I'm sad my poems are usually more depressing. If I'm mad that shows up in the poems too. Poems come from my heart so whatever I feel passes through. I never plan it. They just come to me. With my poetry, and other writing. I try to help. I try to reach out to anyone that is hurting. Anyone that writes poetry cherish that ability.

I love poetry and keep on telling myself to start writing some. It sounds like you are very gifted in writing poetry. Keep it up, it is something that you can have forever. All the best.

I'm not a poet. The way that I do any writing is through this forum. Would you send me some of your poetry? I'd love to read it. What other types of writing do you do?

Heaven Sent Love ruled the day when the angels came to meet Sweeping them up and off of their feet Neither of them knowing what the future would bring Two hearts together and one diamond ring Today it’s a promise, so sweet and so pure Together forever, for love shall endure A blessing from above, this story is told A love to last a lifetime and a hand to hold It was no accident that this came to be Now you must realize that it really takes three So, go hand and hand to a future unknown Knowing that with the Lord, you will never be alone With the angels still near and dear to the heart This couple shall prosper and never grow apart For it’s not always the eye that is the first to see What really matters in life and what is meant to be So remember that to love is time well spent And what brought you two together was heaven sent

Love to write poetry here is one Pale September, I wore that time like a dress that year. The Autumn days swung soft around me, like cotton on my skin. But as the embers of the summer lost their breath and disappeared, my hear went cold and only hollow rythems resounded from within. But then he rose, brillant as the moon in full and sank in the borrows of my soul. He goes along just as a water-lilly. Gental on the surface of his thoughts his body floats, unweighed down by passion or intensity. Yet unaware on the depth upon which he coats, and he finds a home in me, for what misfortune sows, he knows my touch will reap. This is all the happiness and pain we feel, but still we love.

Only a few are blessed with the ability to weave words and transform it into something magical. Same with you, I write better poems when I am sad and depressed. It brings out the madness and depth in me, and it adds something to the words. I've written a lot too, but I want to learn more about the craft. I want to be a real poet. I am actually planning to take up M.A. in Creative Writing this coming semester. hope it materializes.

I write poems too, and similarly, they reflect my feelings of the moment. Some are sad, some of them are about special people in my life, and some about nature and seasons. If I'm just sitting here pondering something, suddenly it will hit me that I should be writing this stuff down, so I do just that, and then turn it into verse. I'm building a site at the moment with a collection of my poetry, with the encouragement of a friend I met here, in Mylot. It gives me great satisfaction to do this and who knows, maybe someday, it might be published? :-)

I myself am not a poet but I have done alittle poetry when the mood strikes me. My brother also does poetry. A few of my pieces of poetry have been submitted for publications all tho I have never actually sent them back the paper work to have it published. Nothing wrong with poetry keep up the work and share with the world in away not everyone has the ability to do.

I do not consider myself a poet. I love to write poetry when I am in the mood. It is a great way to let your feelings out because so many of us can relate to it when it is written in words. If any would like, send me a message and I will share my poems I have with you.

Pardon me for my cynicism, for my I must disagree with your sentiment of aligning oneself with that of someone else's pain. I quiver to think of added burden to my already laden life. Call me chicken, if not cook me one, with... oh maybe a little saltbury sauce on the side Is not my pursuit to lighten my loads along the shoulders of vast at times narrow passageways, in life to secure the dearest most sweetest 'rapture' proclaimed in book of legends and timeless lore? If love is in despair, I'd rope and harness the sun in plain view and shine the dark clouds away. Carry no remnants of sadness on your visage or crown, nor hate , nor seething malice. Be uplifting in verse, let your emotions rule the flow of your words and align strict standards thereafter you feast on the satisfaction of your completion. My emotions are always present in everything I do, I can evoke and emote when my heart and mind are not aligned. "Practice makes perfect I guess. Practice hard, practice with strange and familiar friends. -oh, don't forget to remember while your not practicing. Recall is important. ;-) " "Happily'N Joy"

I think that most people who write do so because they want to reach out to people. For me, I can only hope that something I have written will inspire or help someone understand, etc. I also write to help myself get through feeling and emotions I am having trouble with or to understand a feeling or emotion I haven't had to deal with before.
