Mary Jane as a name? Is it a bad idea...

Okay, Tradition in my family is I and 5 generations above me are all named Mary something. Each middle name is differnt. I am Ellen, There was also an Anne, Catherine, another Ellen and I am not sure about the rest. Anyway I really can't think of a middle name. I like Mary Jane a lot but as some of you may already know it is a nick name for canabis. I like the name but wonder if people will asscociate it with that and think we are stonners or make fun of the child as she gets older.... What do you thin and what all other good ideas? I hope I have a boy..lol

I didn't know Mary Jane was a nickname for canabis. I used to love that name a lot, but now I have second thoughts.

You learn something new every day. I didn't know that. But what about Mary Brenna? I heard it before, and i think it's just a lovely name. Mary Lynne might work. Mary Elizabeth is pretty to. Or chage the spelling of Catherine to like Kathryn or something.

Mary Jane does sound pretty, but a lot of people would think of canabis when they hear it. What about Mary Christine? Mary Angela? There are lots of pretty names that would go. But pick whatever you like!
