say that they don't like a show that you like, then make a point to watch it with you? The reason I ask is because Thursday night I was feeling well, so was laying in bed and my husband came home. Men in Trees came in and mind you I was in the bedroom watching it, so he didn't have to watch it. Instead he's in there watching it with me and then goes back in the living room and starts watching it out there as well. I had to laugh and of course share. hehe

Same here. I just don't get it. I think it has to do with the "girlie" shows they think men shouldn't watch.

It seems that it is mostly the husbands at fault here. Are any of you men experiencing this with your wifes?

I do it with my husband. I don't understand why. He likes Smallville and I always comment how I hate the show and everytime he is watching it, I want to turn the channel, but I have caught myself watching the dang show when he is gone and even sometimes with him.

LOL this has never happened to me. However, my husband prefers to spend all of his time on the computer playing video games... So I guess I have the TVs to myself if I want. So I spend my evenings in the bedroom watching tv...all by myself or with my son! :) My son is too young to talk in more than a few words...so he doesn't complain. :)

Hello..doesnt that annoy you? my otha half sits on the computer alot (PS2)...he also thinks when we do watch the tv together that i can watch what i like but he always ends up in control. most nites i end up in bedroom going to bed alone so he can stay up late to watch the football. it really bugs me. sorry just wanted to vent. hello your little one xx

Men in Trees - Men in Trees...can you say yummy?
You watch Men in Trees? I LOVE that show!!!! I think what happened is that he thought he didn't like it but once he started watching it, he discovered that he did like it. Why do men have to refuse to watch a show just because they think it is a chick thing? My partner will often say that he does not like a show and then we will watch it with me...and then start asking a bunch of questions to catch up! They are chick flick/show closet cases. hahahahahahaha

I have had that happen before. one example I can think of was last week. we have digital cable and get the station where they play the kids gameshows from nick...and I remember him telling me before that he hated double dare (i used to like it and watch it when i was younger). So we are sitting on the couch looking for something to watch and he turns it on that. When I ask why we are watching it, his response is "Well you liked it so thought you might want to watch it". haha Even though he passed by many things I know he would have rather watched.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about three years now. We both like different things. In fact, I've been told that we are an "odd couple". We both like different type of music. If I would never listen to my music around him since I know he hates it, but I had listen to the kind of music he likes. I don't like that kind of music, but I made the effort to listen to it. I think it depends on the guy and how flexible they are with certain things.

My husband and I do that all the time. Sometimes it's me that say I don't like a show, but I end up watching it and try to stay interested. Sometimes the title doesn't sound good but after watching for awhile, it turns out to be a decent show.

I'm guilty. My husband watches "Pinks" on the Speed Channel and I couldn't stand it and I would really give him a hassle about having to go into the bedroom becasue he wanted to watch it. So I secretly watched it in the bedroom one night and now I can't wait until the new season starts in February.lol

Doesn't piss you? Anyway My husband came it would directly go to computer as well for making a program. He had only few things knew like eating, watching tv for just a cop of mins. In the long run computer up to the last drop! That's how insane is my fafa in comp's.

I find many people see shows that don't appeal to them, but don't really give them a chance. A show like that doesn't seem appealing, but once you watch, you get hooked.
