Ladies- have you had a mammogram? does it hurt? how long does it take?

It's a good idea to go, they say. I have had many of them. They can be very uncomfortable, and hurt a little. Some of it depends on the machine and the tech. Hope you will be okay.

I get one every year so that the doctor can keep track of some fibre cysts that I have. Does it hurt? Not as bad as some may say. If you just relax it makes it easier. Think about somthing else and just relax your muscles. It only takes around 10 minutes for them to do a series. It is nothing to fret about, really.

This is coming from the biggest sook in the world, no they don't hurt, I can handle them ok so I can they are ok....

I have had a mammogram, matter of fact I just had one on Wed. and no it doesn't hurt. The mammogram itself doesn't take long at all. But waiting to get in if they are busy may take sometime. I have one done every year. Thank God I do as they found a small mas on one so now need to back for a Ultra sound and a pressure point on it done... Wish me luck that it is only a fatty tissue showing. I had it happen about 11 years ago. And it was just a small fatty tissue. But believe you will be AOK they really don't hurt. More uncomfortable then anything.

I started mine a couple years back. They're not that bad. Mostly just uncomfortable. Just be sure when they tell you to be still and not breathe, DON'T breathe. If they only have to do it once it's so much easier.
