While browsing the "discussions with no responses" section here on MyLot, I often come across posts that ask the question "Why don't I get any responses?". More often than not these posts are not tagged at all. In my opinion one of the best ways to get folks to see (and then respond to) your discussions is to make sure you apply the proper tags. Most users here on MyLot browse the "discussions from my interests" section. The only way to get your topics into that area is to tag them. Do you always tag your discussions? Any tips for better tagging?

i think tags should be there but only relevant. May be only three to four are enough. excessive tagging is also bad habit

Unless I am mistaken, you can't add more than five tags, right? I agree that they need to be relevant to the topic being discussed.

What you have indicated could be one of the reasons. The other reasons could be 1. Most mylotians are looking for easy topics where they can answer with one or two words to ensure they climb the ladder soon (rating). 2. Some discussion topics are difficult to understand and if some mylotians do not have resources to answer, they skip. I have more than 50 discussion topics gathering dust with 1 or 2 responses each, whereas I am expecting a good response for it, since most of them are well thought of topics. Your discussion topic is quite interesting.
