Hey,thats the biggest question in the whole of world.is America dogmatic in its approach. My answer is yes.It is.America neither seemed to listen to any of the countries and nor to UN.America never listens, they do what they want. Now,Is U.N fulfilling its role for which it was craeted. After the 2nd world war it was created to avoid certain conflicts in the future and to be a forum where all the countries cud discuss their problems.Has U.N achieved its objectives if yes than why there are wars in certain part of the worlds?and again i think no.UN seems to b a body thats just for sake of a name.they havnt taken any strict actions uptil now.nothing it has done in kashmir.nothing it did during the war again. i think a superpower don`t do unjustifiable acts.what is ur take on that......

It is not America that didn't listen it's the Government. The Government and the citizens of America r 2 different things. When our Gov. does something stupid we all get blamed. I think that is stupid. In regarding to a superpower, the more power someone has the more evil they r and yes the U.N is just a name anyone can be paid off as everyone saw the war was voted against and it happened anyway.

i am american and i personally think this country is based on lies and thievery and greed. As far as the UN goes i mean they basically have no say because george dubya does what he wants when he wants whenever dikc cheney tells him to do it. George Bush does whatever he wants without congressional approval and without the american people's approval.

America still is the superpower. The UN is nothing but a nasty marshmallow coming up with stupid ideas. Momentarily, the USA suffers from having too many idiot Democrats around who do not support our country or want us to succeed. America should not follow the U.N. They have no useful ideas. When America is attacked, like 9/11, then we should definitely fight back. In the future, we will send all of our Democrats to war, first.

The UN is a body of more than 150 nations, it's hard to get that many countries to agree on anything when you have so many different perspectives and agendas. Also the permanent members of the security council can veto any resolution and kill it. As far as Kashmir, maybe India and Pakistan should be negotiating its status (are they doing this already)?

America is a superpower. But the world is not the same as 10 or 5 years ago. The world is changed with the dread evidence that 10 people can kill thousands citizens of america. So the word "superpower" is not appropriate anymore and had lost meaning in this new world.

America is a superpower in economy, but it shouldn't be in politics.any country deals with his own matter, so America is.

The UN is failing worse than anything i have ever seen... however The US is still a superpower in a few ways, but i look at Japan and China to emerge in the next 50 years.

i think the us approach is a dogmatic one, they think that they are the superpower, and they will not approach UN for the important decisions and do on their own,

America is losing her superpower standing. Mostly because she lacks the greatness of her bank accounts but also her armies are falling. Americas armies are being cut left and right. We need to fortify our defenses or we could be in big trouble. China is really our biggest threat currently and thank god they are our ally. Otherwise world war III would be at hand.
