Finishing the last page of a book is like losing a close friend

Did you ever feel that way after you were done with a book? Have you ever wished that a book/ series should never come to an end? Or are you rather content after reading a book and are happy about the new things you encountered? O don't you like to read at all and are more than happy to close every book forever that you had to read?

If the author did a good job then I am sad when I finsh a book. Not all books make me feel this way but there are many that do. I just recently read the Clan of the Cave bear series and was fine until I got to the end of the last book. Then I was really sad and wishing for more. I mean I just spent a lot of time getting to know these characters and then poof, it's done. No more about their lives. It is such a bummer. Lucky for me I am ahuge reader and get right into another book to help ease the pain.

Though I am very enthusiastic to read the last pages; because there's where the suspense lies; i too feel bad after finishing the last page of the book . . .

Yes, I felt it often. It is because you live another life in that story. And you do notwant to finish your other life. Not each book or story causes this feeling, only the really good ones. Sometimes I couldn't wait the end of the book. It also means that you can feel strong empatics.
