The Kennedy & Lincoln Connection

We have not verified this article and so we are not sure if this is fiction or true!) Have a history teacher explain this if they can. Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head. Now it gets really weird. Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln. Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters. Now hang on to your seat. Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'. Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford'. Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials. And here's the kicker....... A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland. A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

We can find connections if we really look whereever we want but I think it is just coincidence.

I remember so well when Kennedy was assasinated. One of the few times I ever saw Daddy cry. I was expecting my daughter and was upset by both things, the assasination and seeing Daddy cry. I nearly had my girl early. This particular story was brought to light sometime ago and it is not so much a conspiracy theory as someone bringing to peoples attention that there are coincidences that will make you amazed.

i have seen that so many times, and i refuse it as a conspiracy theory that they are connected. although evidence points that they are connected, i see no way as to how they are. coincidences and people with a lot of free time.....

I think so too. I could probably do a search for all people born on the same day as me and come up with all kinds of bizarre coincidences, etc. but in the end it doesn't mean anything significant.

it doesnt really matter what is their relationship to each other, you just have to live your own life and be a good citizen of your country.

Alot of coincidence and hlaf-truths mixed with outright lies. This has been around since before the internet. It's nothing. You could twist facts mixed with lies to show anything if you know what you want to show. The newest version is used to "prove" the 9-11 conspiracy. Force

No matter how many times I've received that, whether in an email or a letter from someone, it's always amazed me. The comparisons are something else, aren't they? I used to get teased a lot in school when Nixon became Vice President when I was in elementary school. Why? Because my maiden name is Nixon. Everyone was always asking if we were related to the Vice President, but no one would believe me when I said that we were. I had to have my father write a note to the teacher explaining that we were distant cousins before anyone would believe me. All they had to do was look at my father...he and Richard Nixon could have been brothers.

I've been hearing this since 1964, and it still sends shivers down my spine. I know people have tried to refute it over the years, but most of it can be proven. It's just so uncanny. I wonder if Ripley's Believe It Or Not has ever done a show or anything based on it.

And the last names of the two Republican congressmen who were the last to concede that they had lost the election last month? Burns and Allen! [George Burns and Gracie Allen were a husband-and-wife comedy team in the U.S. in the '50s]
