Jesus' birthday.

Do you believe that December 25th is Jesus' birthday? The reason I ask is because there were shepherds in the fields and, if December is winter where Jesus was born, then surely the shepherds would not still be out.

No, Jesus wasn't born in December. The reason Christmas is celebrated December 25th is because when Constantine was trying to convert all of Rome to Christianity, he coordinated all Christian celebrations to match up with pre-existing Roman holidays to make it more acceptable. There's no solid proof as to when Jesus was born, but as far as historians can tell, it's most likely in late summer or early fall.

Thank you, that is what logic would say.

Well I do think that Jesus was born at Christmas, cos that means Christs birth, but the calendar has changed a couple of times, with months added and whatnot, so even if 25th December existed when he was born (if he was) it probably got shifted about anyway. He was probably born in April or summet.

Does that mean we should not question. Faith is fine but in my opinion, blind faith leads to trouble.
