Do you hear bass guitar track in the songs you listen to?

I think it's not easy for people to hear the sound of bass guitar in a song. I play bass guitar since 2002, and I must listen to songs to learn how to play them. A lot of people told me that they can't hear the sound of bass guitar when they listen to songs, they can hear only the sound of guitar. I know that frequency of bass guitar sound is very low, difficult to hear. What about you? What do you think about this?
