My Poem - My Poem
Philippines
December 10, 2006 5:02pm CST
This poem is especially dedicated for my one and only true love. I was the author of this & this was an entry to the World-wide on-line poetry contest which qualifies to the semi-finals and advances to the finals. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Uncertain Memories of the past keeps taunting you But dont you worry co'z i'm here for you I'll do my part to wash away your tears So trust me my darling and have no fears. If you would be able to give me a chance To ease all the pains you felt is my assurance A heartfelt intention is what i always mention But still your in doubt so my heart flouts into portion. If you only believe that my love won't deceive I'll show you the reasons why my love should lead Many people dissuade me but i never heed co'z Deep inside i think upbeat not to make your heart bleed. After knowing my astonishing factual emotions You told me to stop this feeling co'z it must not go on But i never turned uncertain co'z my love will still remain Certainly i say you're my true love and hope it'll never turn invain. I read this poem on web and its now my favorite IF I KNEW If I knew it would be the last time, That I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming you would KNOW I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, Well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything just right. There will always be another day to say "I love you," And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do?" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear Take time to say "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay." And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

i love you baby - at canibad beach resort here in davao city
Missing You The first time we met, I knew I had a friend. The thing I did not know is that I would want to love you until the very end. Your precious love has turned my life completely around, I feel like I'm walking, but my feet don't seem to touch the ground. Sometimes you seem to be my shinning light guiding me through the long, dark night. As I lie alone in bed thinking of you and I I wonder if you think of me too as one more night slowly drags by. I wish I were there with you, kissing your sweet lips under the pale moon light, and holding you, so very tight. You really are the man of my dreams and I can't wait to be with you, for the rest of my life. I know our time away seems like an eternity, but I'll wait forever to be in your life. I love you, I need you, I want you, and I will for all my life. source: Romantic love poem by: Gail Erwin

Edgar Allan Poe - who is considered one of the most gifted writers of american literature.
yup, I like all of his writings too! here is one sample i like most from edgar allan poe's writings. ------------ ALONE by Edgar Allan Poe (1830) From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then- in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy life- was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view. Thanks for Responding!

Love - just the words I love you
Love is so Many Things Love is so Many Things Love is compliated. Love is easy Love is confusing Love is forgiving, although it might be hard to forgive. Love is pain, Love is pleasure Love is cruel Love is patient, though it cannot wait Love is a dream, but its oh so real Love is eyes-wide open Love is blind Love is unselfish, yet it can be selfish Love is forever, but it can last only a moment Love is deep, but it can be shallow as well Love is for that special someone, but you can share it with everyone Love has no limits, but you put limits on love Love is generous, but it doesnt like to share Love is happiness, but it can bring sadness as well Love is a rush of postive energy, but it can have a negative effect Love seems perfect, but it can be imperfect Love is what i feel for you, but Love is what you dont deserve of me Love is so many things..........But it can mean so little I write that one

Guilty soul I once locked myself In a place no one can dealt It was me and my soul And my unfailing goal I wouldn’t listen to anyone I don’t care if they’re gone My concern is my happiness And live the life of a mess I’m much better than them Coz they don’t know who I am I always want things perfect Wouldn’t care if I lack respect Yes, I’m happy this way The way I chose to exist Not a soul can reach My feelings and my guilt Maybe you see me happy Maybe you see me witty But behind this empty smile A guilty soul lies --- i made that poem

HOPE is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm. I ’ve heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me. -Emily Dickenson

Alone - all alone
Untitled I longed for you An endless flare of emotion I await to be consumed by the fires of passion burning deep I wait in the night to feel his embrace To taste his kiss A sweer revolution rioting in my veins I dreamed of him WHose soul's half mine He who takes all my fears away By his hand, his touch, his laughter Alas, he can never be mine He belongs to no one, only to himself Im always beside him, with him Still, I go unoticed But I am waiting ALways waiting Waiting still note: wrote this 5 years ago.

lonely tree - a small .JPG image of a lonely, crooked tree
One of my favourite poems is "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountaindreamer: ---------- The Invitation It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love for your dream for the adventure of being alive. It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon... I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain mine or your own without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy mine or your own if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful to be realistic to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes.” It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children. It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

The Wordsworth poetry is seems the best to me.... I like his poem - "The daffodils". Besides I also like Shakespeare's "Seven Ages"... which is so very absolute.
